Although Argentina has more cattle than humans (Cook, 2020). The northern part of Argentina has more Llamas than cattle. Thus, Llama steak is a favorite delicacy in the region. The steak is actually considered a healthy delicacy because Llamas has less fat than beef. Also, when it comes to protein content, Llamas win (Polidori, Renieri, Antonini, & Lebboroni, 2007). In case you are looking to have a Llama delicacy, try out cazuela de llama or the llama stew. One unique thing about Llama steak is that it has a rustic and earthly flavor.
