About Our Products
Are your grills authentic Argentine products?
Yes. Every grill we sell is manufactured in Argentina and imported directly to the United States. We are an authorized Tromen dealer and work directly with A La Cruz and Kankay. No dropshipping, no third-party resellers.
What's the difference between the Gaucha, Chulengo, and Duomo?
The Gaucha is a traditional open parrilla with a side firebox — ideal for classic Argentine asado with ember-based cooking. The Chulengo is a barrel-style grill with a steel lid that doubles as a smoker — great for families who want versatility. The Duomo Oval is a 5-in-1 system (grill, oven, smoker, pizza oven, and parrilla) — the most versatile option for cooks who want to do it all.
What fuel do Argentine grills use?
Our grills are designed for charcoal, wood, or a combination of both. We recommend Quebracho Colorado firewood for the most authentic Argentine flavor. It's the densest hardwood available — burns hotter, longer, and with less ash than domestic woods.
Do I need a separate firebox (brasero)?
Some grills include a firebox (like the Chulengo and the Porteña Cruz Full Set). For grills that don't include one, you can use a separate brasero or burn your wood/charcoal directly in the grill. A separate firebox gives you better heat control by letting you burn wood to embers before transferring them under the grate.
Can I use these grills with regular charcoal briquettes?
Yes. While we recommend natural lump charcoal or Quebracho Colorado for the best flavor, all our grills work with standard charcoal briquettes as well.
How much assembly is required?
Assembly varies by model. The Kankay grills have simple leg attachment (under 10 minutes). The Chulengo requires attaching the base, wheels, and accessories (about 30 minutes). Detailed instructions are included with every grill.
About Orders & Shipping
Do you offer free shipping?
Free shipping is available on select products and special offers. Look for the free shipping badge on eligible items. For all other products, shipping is calculated at checkout based on your location. For Alaska, Hawaii, and international orders, please contact us for a shipping quote.
How long does shipping take?
Most in-stock orders ship within 2–3 business days. Delivery typically takes 7–15 business days depending on your location. You'll receive tracking information by email once your order ships.
Can I pick up my order in person?
Yes. You can pick up any order at our North Miami location (12572 NE 14 Ave, North Miami, FL 33161). Select in-store pickup at checkout or contact us to arrange.
Do you ship internationally?
We currently focus on domestic U.S. shipping. For international inquiries, please email info@cholys.com and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
About Warranty & Returns
Do your grills come with a warranty?
Yes. As an authorized dealer, all Tromen products come with full manufacturer warranty. A La Cruz and Kankay products are also covered by their respective manufacturer warranties.
What does the warranty cover?
The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. Normal wear from use, rust from outdoor exposure without proper care, and damage from misuse are not covered. Contact us for specific warranty details on any product.
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for unused products in original packaging. Please see our Returns & Refunds page for full details.
What if my grill arrives damaged?
Contact us immediately at (786) 332-1154 or info@cholys.com with photos of the damage. We'll work with you to resolve the issue promptly — whether that means a replacement part, a new unit, or a full refund.
