How do I season my new Argentine grill?
Before first use, clean the grates with hot soapy water, dry completely, and coat lightly with vegetable oil. Heat the grill empty for 30 minutes at medium-high heat to season the metal. This creates a non-stick surface and prevents rust. Repeat after each cleaning.
What fuel should I use?
For authentic Argentine asado, we recommend hardwood charcoal (white quebracho from Argentina is ideal) or natural lump charcoal. Avoid lighter fluid — use a chimney starter for clean ignition. Wood chunks can be added for additional flavor.
